Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40lbs
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival
- Maintain an organized reservation system including taking reservations via phone and online platforms
- Manage seating arrangements efficiently balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments
- Manage waitlists during peak hours providing estimated wait times and options for waiting areas
- Provide guests with information about menus, daily specials, promotions, and events
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table status, special requests, and guest needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand and waiting area
- Bid guests farewell and collect feedback while addressing any immediate concerns
