Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lb
- Must be able to perform all cleaning tasks including dishes, mopping, taking out garbage and compost
- Must be able to stay on feet for up to 6 to 8 hours
- Must follow policies on cash handling and POS use
- Must report to work in proper uniform
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Must follow processes and procedures recorded in Black Cap's Employee Handbook
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food service or retail
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Basic knowledge of coffee and tea appreciated
- Ability to maintain a friendly and composed demeanor during busy periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow store policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Prepares and serves quality hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and blended drinks
- Prepares breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches
- Takes customer orders and communicates them to other employees for preparation
- Serves prepared foods
- Describes menu items, product details, and preparation descriptions to customers and suggests products that may interest them
- Develops understanding of coffee and tea including different regions, various differences in flavor and blend
- Delivers distinguished and efficient service to all customers while responding to customer needs
