Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Barista, specialty drink certification or equivalent required
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to follow health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work full-time rotating shifts including weekends
  • Ability to maintain a sanitary work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Barista, specialty drink certification, or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to exchange information on factual matters courteously and tactfully
  • Knowledge of medical center policies related to cash handling, food preparation, and safety
  • Ability to respond appropriately to customer concerns

Job Duties

  • Take coffee, other beverages and food orders accurately
  • Prepare and serve beverages and sandwiches and pastries
  • Accurately process transactions through POS and while using correct cash handling
  • Provide samples when necessary
  • Maintain sanitary work environment
  • Generate customer satisfaction
  • respond quickly and appropriately to customer concerns
  • Communicate customer complaints/concerns to manager
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards for all products at all times
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food, paper goods, and other products to assure a smooth service period
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • Assist in food prep and packing assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Open and/or close the shop as needed
  • Follow the opening/closing checklist, assisting others as needed
  • Clean floors, counters, equipment as directed
