Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
- Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
- Ability to operate espresso machines and other market equipment
- Comfortable working in a small, enclosed market space with hot equipment and refrigeration units
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous barista or customer service experience strongly preferred
- Friendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and follow standardized drink recipes and procedures
- Dependable and punctual
- Basic math and money-handling skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take beverage and light food orders accurately
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks according to established recipes and standards
- Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers safely and efficiently
- Restock and maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and market area throughout the shift
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of products
- Handle cash and operate POS system for transactions
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and be able to make product recommendations
- Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Provide friendly, prompt service and resolve guest concerns or refer them to a supervisor as needed
- Support market operations by assisting with stocking, merchandising, and general tidiness
