Job Requirements

One year barista experience required
Part-time availability including mornings, days, weekends, and ad hoc shifts
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

Punctuality
1-year of coffee experience required
1-year of food service experience preferred
Strong desire to exceed customer expectations
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
Ability to work on a team and individually
Effective and positive communication skills
Attention to detail, ambitious, and self-starting
Ability to read documents such as safety rules, recipes, and instructions
Knowledge and passion for coffee with a desire to learn and grow within the company

Job Duties

Provide awesome customer service as a brand ambassador for Blackout Baking Co
Dial in coffee to the best tasting parameters and taste those parameters daily
Create beverages to order in a timely manner and with a high level of consistency to meet standards
Identify customer needs and make recommendations for new products
Understand and comply with the menu, standards, and procedures of Blackout Baking Co
Complete shift checklists and maintain accurate inventory
Properly store, label, and package finished product
Set up and clean up barista space including sanitizing, dishes, and mopping
Respond positively to regular feedback given by the Manager on Duty
Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Maintain café cleanliness and assist with all other tasks as needed
