Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a reliable means of communication such as a phone
  • Must have reliable means of transportation, public or private

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Six months to one year of previous work experience
  • Good reading and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to provide high quality customer service
  • Competent in operating cash registers and handling cash
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and move within the kitchen area for extended periods
  • Ability to write routine correspondence including logs and reports

Job Duties

  • Greet customers and take orders
  • Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks according to customer specifications
  • Maintain good customer relations and ensure speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
  • Arrange coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs for attractive displays
  • Keep bar/cart area neat and sanitary
  • Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms, and preparation areas regularly
  • Record sales, collect money, operate cash register, and follow cash-handling procedures
  • Sell food items when required
  • Attend in-service, safety, allergy, and foodborne illness training sessions
  • Comply with company HACCP policies and safety and risk management procedures
  • Report accidents and injuries promptly
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
