Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior customer service experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
  • good communication skills
  • basic knowledge of safety and security protocols
  • ability to use point of sale systems
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • willingness to follow hotel policies and procedures
  • commitment to professional appearance and confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Prior work experience preferred
  • excellent customer service skills
  • familiarity with point of sale systems and barista equipment
  • good communication and interpersonal skills

  • knowledge of food and beverage service procedures

Job Duties

  • Open and close the service area including signage, hours of operation and lighting
  • serve all food and beverage items
  • maintain cleanliness of the food area including bussing and re-setting tables, keeping floors clean and overall neatness
  • greet guests with a smile and engage in small talk, use guest names when possible
  • inform guests about any specials using proper verbiage
  • attend to and anticipate guest needs
  • maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, and daily drinks
  • keep barista stand stocked with essentials
  • complete daily and weekly side work as assigned
  • close all guest checks
  • respond to any reasonable tasks assigned by manager
  • aid guests in locating hotel areas
  • follow all safety and security policies and procedures
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
