Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior customer service experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- good communication skills
- basic knowledge of safety and security protocols
- ability to use point of sale systems
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- willingness to follow hotel policies and procedures
- commitment to professional appearance and confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- Prior work experience preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- familiarity with point of sale systems and barista equipment
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team
- knowledge of food and beverage service procedures
- physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- basic safety and security awareness
Job Duties
- Open and close the service area including signage, hours of operation and lighting
- serve all food and beverage items
- maintain cleanliness of the food area including bussing and re-setting tables, keeping floors clean and overall neatness
- greet guests with a smile and engage in small talk, use guest names when possible
- inform guests about any specials using proper verbiage
- attend to and anticipate guest needs
- maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, and daily drinks
- keep barista stand stocked with essentials
- complete daily and weekly side work as assigned
- close all guest checks
- respond to any reasonable tasks assigned by manager
- aid guests in locating hotel areas
- follow all safety and security policies and procedures
- maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
