Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2-3 years of food service experience required
  • ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
  • ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
  • knowledge of food service line setup and temperature requirements
  • ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
  • understanding of safety procedures

Job Duties

  • attends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies
  • detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food and defective supplies or equipment
  • conveys food and supplies from preparation areas to serving sites
  • follows prescribed procedures in setting up food lines and machines
  • cleans and maintains work areas including floors, equipment, and utensils
  • prepares or assists in preparation of various food items
  • replenishes foods and utensils at serving stations
  • serves food items to customers ensuring proper portions and presentation
