Job Requirements
- Must be able to perform medium work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Visual requirements include clarity of vision at distances greater than 20 inches and less than 20 feet, and color vision
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Available to work night and weekend shifts
- Adheres to company personal hygiene and dress standards
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to handle pressure and multiple priorities in a store environment
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic such as addition and subtraction
- Ability to carry out detailed but simple instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively and request supplies as needed
Job Duties
- Provides prompt and friendly customer service by showing care and patience
- Smiles and greets customers warmly in any store location
- Makes an effort to learn and use customers' names
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions
- Answers telephone promptly and takes customer orders
- Takes customer orders at the counter
- Works collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handles food safely and maintains clean work areas
- Reviews food freshness and ensures adequate food supply
- Prepares and replenishes products as necessary
- Checks in product and may review invoices
- Operates department registers and handles payments
- Removes trash in a timely manner
- Maintains personal hygiene and dress according to guidelines
- Adheres to company and store policies
- Reports to work on time as scheduled
