Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One or more years of barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
Food Handling License preferred
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to stand for prolonged periods with standard breaks
Ability to operate quick service restaurant equipment
Ability to move frequently within the store including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching
Must have open and flexible availability
Must adhere to uniform policy and wear gaming license if applicable
Must communicate effectively with management and team
Regular and reliable attendance is required

Job Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm about coffee, tea, and drink preparation
Outstanding communication and guest service skills
Experience performing under pressure
Experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One or more years of barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
Demonstrated experience enforcing 4-star standards preferred
Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills in English
Food Handling License preferred
Passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations such as addition and subtraction

Job Duties

Prepares and serves authentic coffees, espressos, and other cafe drinks per guidelines
Serves and warms breads, pastries, and other quick serve food items
Provides guests with exceptional service and product details, including blend, preparation method, taste descriptors, and ingredients
Sets up stations and displays neatly, including allergen separation
Replenishes displays and stock throughout the day
Ensures all items are dated and following First In First Out (FIFO) standards
Weighs, grinds, and packs coffee beans according to guest specifications
Works across all quick service counters serving a variety of Bakery and Café items
Operates cash register and utilizes Point of Sale software
Maintains a calm demeanor during high volume periods
Communicates quickly and efficiently with management on issues
Coordinates with Pastry department on sales, inventory, and orders
Maintains punctual and reliable attendance
Adheres to uniform and gaming license policies
Tracks daily inventory and orders
Keeps walk-in and storage areas tidy
Assists with unpacking, organizing, and rotating deliveries
Performs daily general and deep cleaning tasks
Stays busy by cleaning, organizing, restocking during downtime
Performs other duties as assigned
