Job Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ABC cards are required
- ability to perform basic math skills
- ability to handle money and make correct change
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- must be able to walk, climb stairs
- must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
- must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
- must have good near and far vision
- must be able to hear, talk, smell
- must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- must be able to stand and walk for up to 5 hours and a total of 7 hours in an 8 hour shift

- knowledge of the basic functions of food and beverage operations
- working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
- ability to perform basic math skills
- ability to handle money and make correct change
- ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
Job Duties
- Become familiar with all menu items and general hotel information
- take food and beverage orders from guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders
- observe guests to respond if additional service is required
- use the automated point of service (POS) system to process orders
- clear, clean, reset, and maintain station during shift
- follow all proper cash, credit card, and room charge procedures
- follow all proper check control procedures
- perform other related duties as assigned
- maintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests
