Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • less than one year related experience and/or training
  • ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words
  • ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
  • ability to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • ability to perform operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
  • ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables
  • knowledge of internet software
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk, hear, frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, occasionally sit, taste or smell
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and color vision
  • willingness to work in a loud environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures, humidity, and vibration

Job Duties

  • Assists bartenders with opening and closing of bar
  • monitors and replenishes ice, fruit, beer, wine, spirits, mixers, and glasses throughout the shift
  • responds to bartender calls for bar needs
  • clears bar and tables as needed
  • prepares requisitions for bar needs depleted during shift
  • keeps work prep and serving areas clean according to State Board of Health standards
  • maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
