This job opportunity is with a reputable food and beverage division, looking to hire a dedicated Barback who will play an essential supporting role in the bar operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Less than one year of related experience or training
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to communicate clearly in simple sentences
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear as required by the job
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color
- Ability to work in a noisy and dynamic environment with occasional exposure to extreme cold, heat, wet or humid conditions, and vibration
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform arithmetic using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables
- Knowledge of internet software
- Customer service skills

Job Duties
- Assists bartenders with opening and closing of bar
- Monitors and replenishes ice, fruit, beer, wine, spirits, mixers, and glasses throughout the shift as needed in both the general and VIP areas
- Responds to bartender calls for bar needs
- Clears bar and tables as needed
- Prepares a requisition for bar needs that were depleted during shift
- Keeps work prep and serving areas clean according to State Board of Health standards
- Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times
