Hunã Bar is an exciting new cocktail and tiki bar slated to open in early 2026 in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred, but not required

Job Duties

  • Knowledgeable on the entire concept of Bar Huna and the general tiki experience
  • Able to effectively sell and describe the drinks, the concept and the food to the Guests of Bar Huna
  • Stocking the bar with ice, glasses, liquor, mixers, and other supplies as needed
  • Preparing juices, syrups, batches, infusions, shrubs and garnishes for drinks
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the bar areas, including countertops, sinks, and equipment
  • Assisting the Bartenders in making drinks, including retrieving and opening bottles, measuring ingredients, and pouring drinks
  • Keeping the bar area organized and tidy, including wiping down surfaces, restocking supplies, and removing any empty bottles or glasses
  • Running errands for the Bartenders, such as retrieving additional supplies or delivering drinks to tables
  • Assisting in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service
  • Monitoring alcohol levels in drinks and ensuring they are poured according to state and local regulations
  • Helping to manage inventory and ordering supplies as needed by communicating needs with the Management Team
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally
  • maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • Advises Guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
  • accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences
  • As needed, demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicates directly with fellow Front of House and Heart of House Team to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and demonstrates the ability to get along well with others
  • Remains flexible and patient when communicating with Guests and fellow Team Members
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
