Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Experience directly related to duties or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High caliber of professionalism and presentation consistent with private club standards
  • Strong organization and coordination skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of server or barbacking experience in upscale or private club settings
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations
  • Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Ability to work with private membership and serve multiple visits to the same individuals and families
  • Self-starter with ability to anticipate needs
  • Flexible schedule including availability for evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Support the bartender as necessary to stock the bar in preparation of service including liquor, beer, wine, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
  • Follow prescribed pre-shift procedures including inspection of the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies
  • Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks including slicing, pitting and skewering garnishes
  • Maintain and clean the bar area and equipment to keep a sanitary environment
  • Load returned glassware to the dishwasher, ensuring glasses are polished before returning to service rotation
  • Attend trainings and staff meetings including pre-shift line-up sessions
  • Maintain knowledge of drinks, menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods
  • Serve non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests in absence of bartender
  • Satisfy member and guest requests in a timely manner
  • Stock, sort, clean, and organize the bar area as requested
  • Greet members and guests using proper verbiage and names if applicable
  • Report any issues to a manager promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
