Job Requirements
- ability to move throughout the business standing walking kneeling bending for extended periods
- ability to make repeating movements of the arms hands and wrists
- manual dexterity hand eye coordination and ability to work with hands above shoulders
- ability to regularly move objects lift push pull balance carry up to 50 pounds 25 kilograms
- ability to turn or twist body parts in circular motion
- ability to tolerate exposure to heat cold chemicals and loud noisy environment
- ability to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- 2 plus years working as a barback in a high volume fine dining restaurant
- ability to perform numerical operations including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing
- ability to effectively deal with customers and staff requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
Job Duties
- Complete bar requisitions
- ensure lounge and bar area is always clean and organized including furniture and decor
- stock juices, mixers, soft drinks, beer, wine, liquor, and paper or plastic supplies
- clean and stock glassware
- cut and stock garnishes
- maintain tables by clearing plates, glassware, silverware, trash, and other items
- set, clear, and reset tables
- clean bar tops, sinks, speed rails, ice bins, guns and lines, bottles, cabinets, and coolers
- set up and empty trash and recycling
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service laws and regulations
- sweep and mop floors
- maintain positive and professional communication with all staff
- ensure a healthy and safe work environment for co-workers and guests
- resolve guest complaints using property procedures
- participate in pre-shift meetings
- always smile and offer a warm greeting to all
- know, understand, and practice the mission, values, culture, and spirit that make Carver Road Hospitality unique
- perform duties in accordance with company standards, policies, and laws
- communicate with supervisors and managers to ensure duties are completed to standard
- coordinate operations with other departments as needed
- present a professional image to employees and guests
