Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in hotel or related field
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing entire shift and lifting heavy objects
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours
  • Maintain personal appearance standards
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Show initiative and problem-solving ability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with beverage service and portion control
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours
  • Physically able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate with employees and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • Listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
  • Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance and comply with hotel standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance including proper uniform and nametag
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Maximize productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
  • Handle problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them
  • Understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives
  • Cross-train in other hotel-related areas
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Show initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Receive all liquor, beer, and wine from storeroom daily
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar, refrigerators, and service areas
  • Replenish liquor, beer, and wine as needed during shifts
  • Be familiar with beverages, cocktails and portion control
  • Assist in opening and closing side-work
  • Assist in maintaining beverage cost
  • Follow procedures when serving alcohol to avoid intoxicated guests
  • Retrieve food items from kitchen and deliver to customers according to standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
