Job Requirements

  • Passion for the people, place and culture of the community
  • minimum of 1 year experience as a barback
  • TiPS alcohol service certification preferred
  • must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
  • available to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
  • ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs
  • ability to lift, balance and carry (with assistance) up to 100 lbs
  • continuous standing and walking
  • ability to negotiate varied floor surfaces
  • fine motor coordination
  • excellent sight and balance
  • ability to handle hot fluids and lighted candles
  • able to work occasionally in extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of one year experience as a barback in either a free-standing or hotel restaurant or bar
  • TiPS alcohol service certification preferred
  • must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
  • fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally

  • ability to lift, balance and carry (with assistance) up to 100 lbs
  • excellent sight and balance

Job Duties

  • Uphold and model the company's principles of people, place and character
  • assist in all aspects of the F&B guest's experience from beginning to end by extending a friendly greeting, ensuring bar products and supplies are well stocked, and executing requests in a friendly and timely manner
  • work in an organized and clean fashion including stocking the bar, racking kegs, filling ice bins, cutting garnishes, and preparing juices and syrups
  • use steps of service to provide professional service and ensure alcohol is served safely, responsibly, and legally
  • use good judgement when extending goodwill and demonstrate urgency to provide an excellent guest experience
  • have an understanding of basic culinary terms and strive to expand knowledge
  • participate in daily line ups and quarterly all staff meetings to develop ideas and provide constructive feedback
  • observe physical facility conditions and communicate challenges to management
  • effectively communicate with F&B and culinary teams to ensure timely food delivery
  • assist in other areas of the F&B department as needed
