Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One plus years of experience as a Barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or lounge environment
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
- Certifications such as Certified Food Service Manager and TIPS or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Adherence to hotel uniform and grooming standards
- Regular attendance

- Polite, friendly and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
- Exceptional guest service skills

Job Duties
- Provide support to the bartender and beverage server by stocking all service areas and maintaining adequate supplies throughout the shift
- Clean and stock all glassware
- Assist with service of beverages
- Participate in monthly inventory
- Stock and maintain supplies in all service areas
- Inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
- Assist server by removing soiled glasses and plates during heavy volume
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of lounge and service areas
- Assist in completion of post-shift cleanup and side work duties
- Maintain clean and organized storage space
- Attend all training sessions and meetings
- Monitor guest consumption to prevent overindulgence
- Inventory beverages and operating supplies
- Order replacement items as needed
- Perform all closing duties by securing inventory and supplies
- Record all aspects of guest orders accurately
- Promote and apply teamwork skills
- Notify appropriate personnel of problems or unusual matters
- Greet guests in a polite and professional manner
- Prepare mixers and garnishes before and during service
- Set up bar service area with necessary glassware and supplies
- Break down equipment and return stock to storage
- Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
