Job Description

The position available is that of a Cocktail Server, an integral support role within the casino's beverage service team. The Cocktail Server works closely alongside bartenders to deliver outstanding hospitality experiences to guests. Responsibilities include promoting and providing excellent guest services, answering menu inquiries, maintaining thorough knowledge of beverages and food service options, observing guest behavior for signs of intoxication, and ensuring prompt and attentive service. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume bar, restaurant or nightclub preferred
General wine, beer and liquor knowledge preferred
Must acquire and maintain valid Gila River Environmental Health Food Handlers Card
Must acquire and maintain Alcohol Awareness Certification
Must acquire and maintain Blood-Borne Pathogens (BBP) training and other compliance trainings
Ability to perform the GILA WAY
Excellent guest service skills
Strong telephone etiquette
Self-starter with ability to follow-up and complete tasks in timely manner
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must have or be able to acquire knowledge of enterprise policies, governmental regulations and technical rules

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume bar, restaurant or nightclub is preferred
General wine, beer and spirituous liquor knowledge preferred
Ability to perform the GILA WAY including greeting, interacting positively, listening actively and appreciating guests
Must possess excellent guest service skills and strong telephone etiquette
Self-starter with ability to follow-up and complete tasks with minimum supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and gain cooperation of guests and team members
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
Must have or be able to acquire in-depth knowledge of enterprise policies, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to responsibilities within one year

Job Duties

Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests
Answers menu questions posed by guests
Maintains knowledge of beverages and any food offerings or special menu items offered
Observes guests behavior and cues that could indicate obvious signs of intoxication
Provides attentive, friendly and professional service to internal and external guests while communicating in a positive, respectful manner
May act in the capacity of a server assistant and ensures food items are picked up and served immediately upon availability from the kitchen
Ensures the quality and presentation meet or exceed the expectations of guests
Performs other special projects and duties as assigned
