Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in bar or hospitality environment preferred
- valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if applicable
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting kegs
- demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- strong customer service and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management, and guests
- possession of a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
- ability to calculate basic math functions related to inventory
- proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing
- experience in high volume bar capacity preferred
Job Duties
- Stock products for the bar including nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages
- maintain icing wells and clean bar areas including sweeping and mopping
- move kegs in and out of keg coolers and tap kegs
- draft beer and pour wine for guest orders
- run supplies for bartenders such as back up fruit, napkins, cups, utensils, and stirrers
- assure that location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
- maintain cleanliness of bar and surrounding areas utilizing sanitation procedures including mopping floors, cleaning and stacking mats, emptying and relining trash cans, and keeping closets clear of debris
- recognize visibly intoxicated guests and inform bartenders accordingly
- uphold sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- maintain excellent attendance and perform other duties as directed by managers
