Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • six months experience in food and/or beverage industry
  • willingness to undergo background check
  • ability to pass drug screenings
  • must obtain New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License
  • must be able to lift at least 150 lbs
  • capability to perform physical activities such as balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • ability to work indoor and outdoor environments
  • willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • ability to work safely and maintain sanitation according to Indian Health Services
  • punctual and regular attendance as per policy
  • ability to perform tasks using safe lifting techniques

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • six months experience in food and/or beverage field
  • preferred high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • able to pass a stringent background investigation
  • willing to undergo pre-employment and random drug screening
  • must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License
  • knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • ability to operate POS systems and count cash accurately
  • interpersonal skills to handle diverse situations
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • strong organizational and detail orientation
  • ability to maintain personal hygiene and sanitation standards
  • professional and effective interaction with the general public

Job Duties

  • Checks equipment and reports problems to supervisory team
  • operates and maintains all equipment and utensils following safety procedures
  • cleans bar equipment and replenishes supplies as needed
  • stocks refrigerating units using FIFO rotation system
  • replaces empty beer kegs safely
  • prepares garnishes with proper food handling
  • informs supervisor of needed products
  • washes glasses and cleans bar area
  • completes computer assisted training timely
  • maintains tables and removes glassware
  • attends pre-shift meetings
  • secures and stores products properly
  • upholds responsible alcohol service requirements
  • serves food items as required
  • completes incident documentation daily
  • logs temperature shifts
  • cleans cash registers
  • removes trash and dirty laundry
  • maintains venue cleanliness
  • cleans casino floor equipment
  • replenishes casino floor supplies
  • participates in team meetings
  • replaces soda bibs safely
  • puts away alcohol orders in absence of barback
  • assists bartenders and servers during breaks
  • greets and welcomes guests professionally
  • prepares drinks with correct portions and recipes
  • presents drinks to guests or servers
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
