Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one plus years of experience as a barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
- certified food service manager, TIPS or equivalent
- ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighting up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
- ability to speak, read and write the English language
- ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Assure that all bars are kept in proper working conditions
- provide all supplies needed for bar prior and during all functions and events as per Beverage Supervisor and Captain request
- restock any and all beverages after all function
- knowledge of consumption reports and assists with monthly beverage inventory and organization of beverage storeroom
- provide support to the bartender and beverage server by stocking all service areas and maintaining adequate supplies throughout the shift
- clean and stock all glassware
- assist with service of beverages
- transport food trays to and from dining room
- assist with cleaning all public areas
- participate in monthly inventory
- stock and maintain supplies in all service areas
- inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
- assist server by removing soiled glasses and plates for large parties and during periods of heavy volume
- maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of lounge and service areas
- assist in completion of post shift clean up and side work duties
- maintain clean and organized storage space
- attend all training sessions and meetings
- monitor guest consumption to prevent over indulgence and ensure safety
- record all aspects of guest order accurately
- perform all closing duties, secure all inventory and supplies
- perform monthly inventories
- notify immediate supervisors promptly of problems or unusual matters of significance
- promote and apply teamwork skill at all times
- greet guests in a polite and professional manner according to Loews standards
- determine guests needs and suggestively up-sell beverages
- prepare all necessary mixers and garnishes prior to start of service and during shift as needed
- set up bar service area with all necessary glassware and supplies prior to start of service
- maintain current knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes
- interact daily with all captains to review events of the day
- stock portable bar with required mixers, alcoholic beverages and related supplies
- break down equipment and return stock to storage areas
- remain current with hotel information and changes
- comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
- perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors or managers
