Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one plus years of experience as a barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
- ability to perform physical requirements including standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively during shift
- flexible to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
- must attend all training sessions and meetings
- comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of wine and spirits and food
- polite, friendly and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees
- exceptional guest service skills
- ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
- certifications such as Certified Food Service Manager and TIPS or equivalent
- effective leadership, management, organizational and communication skills
- ability to speak, read and write the English language
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Assure all bars are kept in proper working conditions
- provide support to bartenders and beverage servers by stocking service areas and maintaining supplies
- clean and stock glassware
- assist with beverage service and transportation of food trays
- participate in monthly inventories
- stock and maintain supplies in service areas
- inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
