Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one plus years of experience as a barback in a high volume, upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
  • ability to perform physical requirements including standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively during shift
  • flexible to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
  • must attend all training sessions and meetings
  • comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of wine and spirits and food
  • polite, friendly and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees
  • exceptional guest service skills
  • ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • certifications such as Certified Food Service Manager and TIPS or equivalent
  • effective leadership, management, organizational and communication skills
  • ability to speak, read and write the English language
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assure all bars are kept in proper working conditions
  • provide support to bartenders and beverage servers by stocking service areas and maintaining supplies
  • clean and stock glassware
  • assist with beverage service and transportation of food trays
  • participate in monthly inventories
  • stock and maintain supplies in service areas
  • inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
