Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bar experience preferred
- Must have or obtain unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certification
- Must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Ability to bend, push, pull and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to carry and lift at least 50lbs
- Ability to work in interior hotel, restaurant, and kitchen environments
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and food and beverage cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bar experience preferred
- Knowledge of fine dining and upscale service
- Familiarity with food menu offerings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards
- TABC and Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Job Duties
- Assist in bar setup and opening
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Stock the bar stations to par and maintain a par level of liquor bottles
- Maintain clean glassware as needed
- Become completely familiar with the liquors and beers sold in the bar
- Knowledge of fine dining, upscale service, serving specifics
- Must have knowledge of all food menu offerings
- Get ice supply for side stations
- Dust all tables to include table legs
- Pick-up linen from laundry
- Check off and pick-up storeroom supplies
- Set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver, and glassware
- Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications
- Assist servers during meal period
- Remove any extra settings
- Reach-in cooler is clean and organized
- Greet all guests promptly and courteously
- Ability to assist and focus attention on bartenders and servers needs, remaining calm and courteous
- Think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration, and make concise decisions
- Ability to perform the job functions with minimal supervision
