Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is an innovative dining, drinking, and entertainment venue located in Salt Lake City, UT, specifically positioned in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway, directly across from the Delta Center. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
  • must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
  • role may include job duties requiring repetitive motion
  • exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous barback/hospitality experience
  • previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge
  • ability to work and remain focused in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • ability to support team members and work collaboratively

Job Duties

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the employee handbook
  • anticipate and accommodate needs of the guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • maintain general cleanliness of bar, bar area and the entire venue
  • possess general knowledge of all food and beverage menus, and company policies and procedures
  • protect establishment, guests and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • communicate the needs of the guests to front-of-house and back-of-house support staff, managers and chefs
  • properly set-up the bar stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
  • assist the bartenders to ensure a high level of quality and prompt guest service
  • assist with bussing any dishes from the bar top
  • responsible for emptying the trash from behind the bar
  • responsible for keeping clean and organized to company standard all back of house storage and refrigeration
  • responsible for keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintaining par levels
  • responsible for reporting all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
  • update knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities
  • portray a positive and professional attitude
  • work as part of a team and provide help and support to all employees
