Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous barback or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverage service
- Basic math skills
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for full shifts
- Obtain RBS and California Food Handler Card within 30 days if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous barback or similar experience preferred
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverage preparation and service
- Basic math skills for portion control and inventory
- Manual dexterity to handle bar tools and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying temperature environments
Job Duties
- Retrieves orders from storeroom and verifies stock receipt with storeroom personnel and bartender
- Cuts, slices, and peels garnishes and fruits, mixes and pours juices according to projected business, stores refrigerated supplies properly
- Checks and assists bartender in maintaining adequate bar supplies and transports taps, replaces and maintains beer kegs
- Maintains cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration, and storage areas to comply with health standards
- Scoops and transports ice to service areas and replenishes ice containers
- Boxes and saves empty liquor bottles for returns and requisitions
