Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year related experience and/or training or combination
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must obtain Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission License (TABC)
- Serve-safe certification (Food Handlers)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 5 hours
- Ability to lift up to or over 20lbs occasionally over 50lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow instructions
- Must attend all required meetings
- Maintain clean uniform
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- One year of food and beverage operation experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of bar operations and service procedures
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle money and operate cash register quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact positively with customers, employees, and management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Outgoing personality and positive attitude
- Honest and have integrity
Job Duties
- Assist bartenders by filling drink orders for customers and wait staff in a timely manner
- Set up and break down bar areas as required
- Cut garnishes and prepare ice before start of business
- Stock the bar with inventory and supplies including alcohol, glassware, fruits, nonalcoholic mixers
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area
- Change BIB syrup when needed
- Assist Food & Beverage manager as needed
- Assist customers in a professional manner as directed by management
- Know and understand the proper operation of all job-related equipment
- Observe all related safety procedures when handling equipment, liquids, dishes
- Use proper protective equipment at all times
- Use proper lifting techniques when handling trays, dishes, and similar items
- Attend departmental and company-mandated meetings
- Immediately report workplace injuries and unsafe conditions to Food & Beverage Restaurant Manager
- Know locations of first aid kits, eyewash stations, fire-fighting equipment, and fire exits
- Maintain clean uniform
- Perform other duties as assigned
