Job Requirements
- Able to perform quality work, efficiently and with minimal supervision
- basic understanding of beer, wine, and spirits
- problem solving skills
- strong English communication skills required to interact with guests, team members, and vendors
- ability to work effectively with all personality types
- multi-task oriented
- provide effective and friendly service to customers
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months' experience as barback or similar experience in food and beverage
- ability to read, write and communicate verbally in the English language
- ability to recognize, handle and accurately exchange currency (make change)
- food handlers card and responsible beverage service certifications are required
- high school diploma/GED or relevant experience in related field
- must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation
- bilingual in Spanish is preferred
Job Duties
- Provides excellent guest service
- adhere to all ABC regulations
- ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes
- report to bartender on duty at scheduled bar
- maintain cleanliness and orderliness of bar
- prepare all mixes and garnishes
- stock all glassware, condiments, beer, paper products and other necessary items needed for efficient operation
- assist bartender in preparation of drinks as necessary
- fill in for bartender's breaks as necessary
