high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
basic knowledge of kitchen procedures and functions
familiarity with kitchen equipment and proper safety protocols
ability to work on feet for long hours
knowledge of food handling and safety
physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
positive attitude and reliability

Job Duties

conduct basic food preparation including washing and cutting produce preparing meats and mixing ingredients
maintain a clean work environment including washing dishes scrubbing floors and sanitizing equipment
setup the kitchen before opening hours with the appropriate supplies and equipment
properly store supplies and equipment at the end of each night
follow proper food handling and safety procedures
assist kitchen staff as needed
manage kitchen waste and recycling properly
