Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Previous hosting experience required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure
  • Proficiency in restaurant reservation and POS systems a plus
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival with professionalism and genuine hospitality
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in seating using reservation systems
  • Direct and support the host team to ensure seamless seating and optimal table rotation
  • Communicate guest needs, special occasions, and table requests to servers and managers
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting host stand and entrance area
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary
  • Oversee and train host staff on service standards, guest interaction, and reservation systems
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to manage seating pace during peak times
  • Monitor dining room flow to balance guest experience with operational efficiency
  • Assist with opening and closing duties for the host team
  • Represent the restaurant's brand and uphold its commitment to providing a warm, upscale, and family-friendly atmosphere
