Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the hospitality or bar industry preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift moderate weight regularly
- Basic computer literacy including operating POS systems
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to follow instructions and work under guidance
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Ability to greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Strong teamwork skills to assist bartenders and other staff
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing for long periods, and cleaning
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and credit card machines
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Ability to prepare garnishes and support drink preparation
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to use judgment according to company policies
- Flexibility to occasionally work overtime and assist coworkers
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly professional manner when applicable
- Assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service
- Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars
- Prepare garnishes for drinks
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar manager
- Maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
- Stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.
- Replenish ice at bar
- Empty bar trash cans
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings
- Additional tasks as assigned
