Job Description
The role we are currently seeking to fill is that of a Barback, a vital supporting position within our bar team. The Barback plays an essential part in assisting bartenders and ensuring smooth bar operations by handling various tasks related to stocking, cleaning, preparation, and maintenance. Under the guidance of experienced bartenders, the Barback ensures that the bar is well-stocked with all necessary items such as glassware, beverages, garnishes, and other supplies, enabling bartenders to focus on delivering quality drinks and excellent customer service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to follow directions and work under supervision
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment preferred
Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in a hospitality or bar setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of beverage preparation is a plus

Job Duties
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly professional manner when applicable
- Assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service
- Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars
- Prepare garnishes for drinks
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar manager
- Maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc.
- Stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, replace beer kegs, etc.
- Replenish ice at bar
- Empty bar trash cans
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings
- Additional tasks as assigned
