Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of California to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Minimum of two years experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Food Handlers Card preferred
  • ABC Service Certification preferred
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a loud, busy, and crowded environment
  • Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures
  • Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment safely
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance according to company standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner
  • Maintain a clean and well stocked bar by filling ice wells, providing back up mixers and liquor, peeling, slicing, and pitting fruit, washing and stacking glassware, stocking beer, and taking out the trash as directed by the managers and bartenders
  • Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct
  • Provide exemplary guest service on a consistent basis
  • Maintain bar presentation, bottles, and glasses in a clean, organized, attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
  • Ensure all glasses, flatware and dishware are returned to their area and are cleaned and ready for next use
  • Ensure all drink and operating supplies are replenished frequently
  • Perform all service in compliance with all ABC laws and Company policies that relate to the service of alcoholic beverages and the prohibition against over-service, serving intoxicated patrons and serving minors
  • Ensure proper set up and break down of stations before and after operating hours and assist in set up and break down for all private events
  • Complete any and all assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization
