Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • minimum two years’ server experience preferred
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language
  • ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations

  • adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems, most work tasks are performed indoors

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
  • maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment and use equipment only as intended
  • anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • maintain complete knowledge of daily house count, VIPs in-house, scheduled group activities and locations within resort, all resort facilities and services, hours of operation of each outlet, all equipment and services available for guests at Biltmore Bar, bar seating charts, point of sale and timekeeping systems, all assigned opening tasks pertinent to the cocktail server position
  • adhere to proper I.D procedures
  • complete familiarity with liquor and wine selection, pricing and preparation
  • complete familiarity with all menu item preparations and presentation
  • perform daily reconciliation of sales and credit information
  • declare earned gratuities in accordance with governmental requirements
  • check supply and equipment levels and report shortages to supervisor
  • immediately notify a manager in the event of a problem or perception of a problem
  • assist co-workers as necessary
  • remove trash and debris
  • manage location and requisitioning of all necessary products and supplies
  • complete all assigned closing tasks pertinent to the cocktail server position
  • greet and acknowledge guests
  • utilize first aid when required
  • complete closing duties and paperwork
  • return all equipment and supplies to proper areas
  • clean designated equipment and sections
  • restock items for next shift
  • secure storage areas
