Job Requirements
- Must meet local, legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
- ability to work late night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM - 4AM
- works assigned scheduled shifts
- alcohol awareness certification required
- food handling certificate is a plus
- fluent in English
- able to speak, read, write
- ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs. to waist level
- able to move items up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet
- able to remain standing and active for an 8-12 hour shift
- able to tolerate exposure to cold temperatures (below 0° F) throughout the shift
- able to hear, understand, and respond to requests in a loud environment
- skill and coordination at using hands to pour drinks, carry glasses, cut garnishes, etc.

Job Duties
- Live and embrace American Social vision and core values
- report to work on time and prepared for the shift
- follow all image and appearance standards
- provide the best service possible with a positive attitude
- ensure bar is stocked with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, bar tools, cleaning items, etc
- prepare bar prep items using recipe, proper portioning, and storage to fulfill guests' orders
- use FIFO procedures to ensure freshness of product and eliminate waste
- maintain high production standards including consistency, firmness, and temperature of food
- maintain supplies, fresh ice, garnish containers, juices, liquor, beer and wine stock
- change beer kegs, soft drink containers, and CO2 tanks to ensure fresh product
- perform bar set up and closing duties
- clean and prepare bar and tables for new guests
- support restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping it clean and organized
- have basic food and beverage knowledge and confidently answer guests questions
- deliver beverages and food and maintain engagement to ensure a positive experience
- comply with all state and federal liquor laws by requesting that guests present a valid ID
- adhere to alcohol awareness procedures for preventing guest intoxication
- ensure all bar equipment is in proper working order, communicating problems when necessary
- clean, sanitize and polish glassware ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards
- communicate with team using radios
- practice teamwork during all shifts and support both FOH and BOH priorities
- work cohesively with all team members
- flexible to assist in other departments as requested
- work well under pressure
- follow the direction of the managers on duty
- support and follow all marketing initiatives
- understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures
