Ema Austin is an upcoming Mediterranean restaurant scheduled to open in late Fall 2025 at The Domain - NORTHSIDE in Austin, Texas. As a part of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, a renowned and nationally recognized restaurant group with over 100 establishments, Ema offers a dining experience inspired by the sun-soaked Mediterranean lifestyle. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to tolerate exposure to various liquids
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to complete alcohol awareness training
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in a barback or similar hospitality role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of basic sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
- Physical ability to lift and carry moderate weights
Job Duties
- Stock and restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies
- Arrange and set-up beverages, mixes, garnishes and supplies, and prepare drink mixes
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Safely and effectively transport filled glass racks, ice and cases of liquor, beer and wine
- Ability to safely tolerate hands being exposed to liquids frequently, including water, cleaning solutions, alcohol, various juices and other liquids
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and blenders
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
