Job Requirements
- Passion for the People, Place and Culture of our community
- minimum of 1 year experience as a Barback
- TiPS alcohol service certification preferred
- must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
- available to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
- ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs
- ability to lift, balance and carry with assistance up to 100 lbs
- ability to stand and walk continuously during shift
- ability to negotiate wet tile floors and steps
- fine motor coordination to pour beverages and decorate cocktails
- excellent sight and balance
- ability to handle hot fluids and lighted candles
- must be able to work occasionally in extreme temperatures like freezers and kitchens
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Barback in a free-standing or hotel restaurant or bar
- TiPS Alcohol service certification preferred
- passion for hospitality and guest service
- fluency in English verbally and non-verbally
- understanding of basic culinary terminology
- ability to follow safety and service protocols
Job Duties
- Uphold and model the company’s principles of People, Place and Character
- assisting in all aspects of the F+B guest’s experience by greeting guests and ensuring bar supplies are stocked
- working in an organized and clean fashion including stocking the bar and preparing garnishes
- using steps of service to provide professional and safe alcohol service following recipes
- demonstrating good judgment and urgency to enhance guest experience
- understanding basic culinary terms and striving for ongoing learning
- participating in team meetings to develop ideas and provide feedback
- observing physical facility conditions and reporting challenges
- communicating effectively with F+B and culinary teams
- assisting in other areas of the Food and Beverage department as needed
