Job Requirements
- Complete CA Food Handler's Card training provided upon hire
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to maneuver deftly between tight spaces including wet pool deck surfaces
- Ability to talk and hear regularly
- Occasionally required to taste or smell
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a front-line position dealing directly with people
- Well-groomed with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Solid communication skills including precision, diplomacy, professionalism, and courtesy
- Exceptional multitasking ability with the capacity to prioritize and expedite efficiently and courteously
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to use touchscreen and keypad to organize table assignments and reservations
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Report for scheduled shifts on time and in assigned uniform
- Maintain a professional, neat, well-groomed appearance
- Use proper telephone etiquette and assist guests politely and confidently
- Advise guests of table availability and escort them to the lounge area
- Greet guests immediately upon arrival, ask for names and room numbers when applicable, and refer to them by name
- Assign server stations and maintain proper server rotation
- Utilize Open Table to track reservations and enter detailed notes
- Seat guests, drop menus, introduce servers by name, and communicate any special requests and guest details to servers
- Maintain a pace of the floor to ensure excellent service by limiting covers
- Keep all lounge areas clean, especially entrance and podium
- Know setting guidelines, table numbers, and dining room procedures
- Thank guests for visiting and invite them to return using their names
- Work as a team with associates to maintain a positive, efficient food and beverage service atmosphere
