Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • majority of work takes place indoors
  • must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures such as kitchens, freezers, loading dock
  • flexibility to work variable days of the week including weekends and holidays
  • flexibility to work variable shifts including days, nights, and overnights
  • ability to work ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a bartender required, preferably in a high-volume bar
  • experience with computerized cash registers preferred
  • high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet, welcome, and interact with guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • take orders, prepare drinks according to recipes and serve all food and beverage requests in the bar
  • demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu
  • prepare the bar for service by ensuring bar supplies, garnishes, utensils are properly set up in accordance with quality standards
  • inventory unused liquor and beverages
  • ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift
  • adhere to all cash handling and credit card policies and procedures
  • ensure that all drink orders from servers are accurately rung into the POS system
  • clean and reset bartop and tables immediately after guests depart
  • complete all closing duties and reports as assigned
  • secure all liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas
  • adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines
  • adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • perform other duties or projects as requested by management
