Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years' bartending experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Ability to lead a team of 10-20 staff members
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Knowledge of alcohol service laws and policies
  • Experience in fast-paced food service or supervisory role
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, event-driven environment

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years' experience bartending
  • Accurate cashier skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Bartending school or certifications preferred or comparable large venue/event alcohol service experience
  • Ability to make sound business and operational decisions
  • Experience with RESY a plus
  • Thorough working knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions relating to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory
  • Consistently adhere to high standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Supporting the bar staff with maintaining standards with drink production
  • Making sure the cocktail/beer/wine program stays intact with possible changes for seasonal ingredients
  • Managing inventory and ordering
  • Functioning in a manager on duty capacity from time to time
  • Updating the POS system for food and beverage items as needed
  • Filling out the tip pool sheet and performing end of day closing procedures
  • Demonstrating excellent guest service and adhering to bar pre-shift notes and menus
  • Serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Learning and applying suggestive selling techniques
  • Checking guests' IDs to verify minimum age requirements
  • Partnering with management to resolve issues beyond standard decision-making scope
  • Handling cash accurately and managing the bar’s issued bank
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary workstations and well-maintained bar equipment
  • Performing other duties as assigned
