Job Requirements

  • Performing duties involves extensive and continuous standing and walking
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • available to work 4 shifts a week
  • ability to lead a team of 10-20 staff members
  • experience with RESY a plus
  • ability to make sound business and operational decisions
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • thorough knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, and safety standards pertaining to OVG operations
  • able to calculate basic math functions for POS transactions, cash reconciliation and inventory
  • adhere to highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years’ experience bartending
  • accurate cashier skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be self-directed while working in a team
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • bartender school or certifications preferred or comparable large venue/event alcohol service experience

Job Duties

  • Supporting the bar staff with maintaining standards with drink production
  • making sure the cocktail/beer/wine program stays intact with possible changes for seasonal ingredients
  • inventory and ordering
  • functioning in a manager on duty capacity from time to time
  • helping change the POS (Toast) for food and beverage items updates
  • filling out the tip pool sheet and end of day reports
  • demonstrating company standards for guest service, co-worker interaction, and uniform standards
  • following bar pre-shift notes and menus
  • serving alcoholic beverages following all state/federal regulations
  • learning suggestive selling to guests
  • checking guest’s ID according to regulations
  • partnering with management to resolve issues beyond standard decision-making
  • handling cash accurately and managing issued bank at the bar
  • maintaining clean and sanitary workstation and bar equipment
  • other duties as assigned
