Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience in food and beverage preferred
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and during events
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties related to bar operations
- Legal age to serve alcohol and pass any required background checks
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
- Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent attendance
- Valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if applicable
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role within a food and beverage environment
- Ability to supervise and manage the work of others effectively
- Strong communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and guests in a respectful business manner
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Accuracy in handling cash and financial transactions
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to point-of-sale and inventory management
Job Duties
- Ensure proper set-up of all Bar locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory and sanitation standards
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in smooth, efficient and profitable event execution
- Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
- Cover or back-up any open position to guarantee location is fully operational and service standards are met
- Ensure a safe work environment free from harassment or discrimination and address safety concerns immediately
- Provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring to event staff promoting a positive and cooperative workplace environment
- Obtain working knowledge of all Bar locations including equipment and evacuation procedures
- Supervise the service of beverages including checking guest IDs and preventing service to intoxicated individuals
- Handle cash transactions including computing costs, accepting payments and providing change
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Practice excellent human resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, and coaching
- Assist Management with projects including training, inventory, and special events
- Perform any other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
