Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in food and beverage
  • valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • ability to maintain excellent attendance
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform job duties
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to handle cash and perform basic math calculations

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role within a food and beverage environment
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • effective communication skills with employees, volunteers, management, and guests
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment
  • possession of valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit as required by law
  • ability to handle cash accurately
  • competency in basic math functions related to POS transactions and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all bar locations prior to doors
  • provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
  • train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
  • cover or back-up any open position to maintain operational standards
  • ensure a safe, harassment-free work environment and address safety concerns promptly
  • provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentorship to event staff promoting a positive workplace
  • obtain working knowledge of all bar locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
  • supervise beverage service including alcohol, checking IDs to verify minimum age
  • compute sales cost, accept payments, and provide change
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
  • ensure location equipment is operational and clean
  • recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate actions
  • enforce company policies and procedures
  • practice strong employee relations including coaching and corrective actions
  • assist management with training, inventory, and special events
  • perform all other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
