Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage environment
  • valid food handling certificate
  • valid alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • reliable transportation
  • excellent attendance record
  • ability to handle cash responsibly
  • basic math skills
  • ability to work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
  • ability to supervise the work of others
  • ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
  • ability to speak, read and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
  • ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • ability to calculate basic math functions related to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all bar locations prior to doors
  • provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient and profitable execution of events
  • train new and current employees regarding property procedure and best practices
  • cover and back-up any open position to assure location is fully operational
  • ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination
  • ensure event staff are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing assistance, training and mentoring
  • obtain working knowledge of all existing bar locations, including geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures
  • supervise the service of beverages to guests including verifying guests' IDs
  • compute cost of sales and present guests with checks, accept payments and provide change as needed
  • maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of events
  • identify and manage guests that are visibly intoxicated
  • enforce all company policies and procedures
  • practice excellent human resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching and counseling
  • assist management team with projects including training, inventory and special events
  • perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
