Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Willingness to undergo training and certification as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- Ability to think quickly and work calmly under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of standard bar equipment and drink recipes
- Ability to monitor guest behavior and enforce responsible alcohol service
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
Job Duties
- Follow procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of liquor, bar inventory and equipment
- Ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions including obtaining, counting and securing bartender’s bank, receiving cash and credit payments, giving accurate change and balancing cash drawer at the end of shift
- Order and/or replenish/requisition supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc. in a timely and efficient manner
- Minimize waste and breakage of glassware and supplies
- Schedule employees to ensure proper coverage
- Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
- Monitor performance and recommend disciplinary or other staffing/human resources-related actions
- Alert management of potentially serious issues
- Ensure all staff is properly trained, certified as required, and have tools and equipment needed
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar
- prepare beverages according to established standards and recipes
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service
- Setup bar including liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies
- Perform pre- and post-shift side-work
- Inspect bar for cleanliness and operational readiness
- Conduct monthly inventory and control beverage costs
- Order product to maintain par levels
- Track spending against product performance
- Report waste and submit invoices timely
- Work with GM and Sales to execute events
- Create and maintain weekly bar activations
- Ensure POS is properly accounted for
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
- Follow all company policies and safety standards
- Attend mandatory meetings
- Perform cross-training and other tasks as directed
