Job Requirements

- 3-5 years bartending and supervisory experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of high-profile bartending experience
- 3-5 years of bar supervisory experience in a club, hotel, or banquet service
- knowledge of various types of wine, beer, and mixed drinks
- understanding of proper service methods and glassware
- superior member service skills
- ability to maintain poise under pressure
- flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- mixologist preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain the Wine Society retail orders
- supervise all bars and schedule weekly walk-throughs
- train new bar staff
- manage stock ordering and receiving procedures
- ensure bar-related events are carried out and maintained
- maintain Wine Society lockers
- report to management regarding Wine Society-related agendas
- assist sommeliers with wine dinners
- establish par levels for bar inventory
- develop a total bar standard
- organize storage and each bar area
- train service staff
- complete projects assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage
- arrive well-groomed and on time dressed in appropriate uniform
- quickly make drinks for members and servers
- set up and clean up for events
- keep the bar stocked and clean while providing friendly service
- assist with inventory for all bars and lounges
- review and set up sections/events to meet club standards
- check in and out with manager on duty
- possess complete knowledge of menus and answer member questions
- gracefully present and serve bottles of wine and champagne
- comply with club policies and state laws for alcohol service
- communicate dining or service issues to managers
- follow procedures for safe food handling and storage
- assist in opening and closing duties and dining set-ups
- treat members, guests, and team members with respect
