Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a bar or hospitality setting preferred
- Knowledge of beverage making and customer service expected
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must comply with local alcohol service laws and policies
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a bar or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and recipes, including cocktails, wines, and beers
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and provide personalized service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders and transactions
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills preferred
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification) may be required depending on local regulations
Job Duties
- Welcome guests and provide attentive, friendly service at the bar
- Accurately take drink and occasionally food orders
- Mix, garnish, and serve beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Monitor alcohol consumption and refuse service when necessary per company policy
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked during and after shifts
- Wash and properly store glassware and bar tools
- Process payments, issue receipts, and balance the till at end of shift
- Restock beer, spirits, garnishes, and other bar essentials
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures
- Communicate effectively with floor staff, kitchen staff, and management
- Handle customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner
- Assist with closing duties, including cleaning and securing the bar
