Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years hospitality management experience specifically in restaurants and/or bars
- Minimum of two years as a Restaurant General Manager or Bar/Lounge General Manager
- Strong background in service training
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktail creation and wine
- Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain TIPS certification
- Adaptable interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all employee levels
- Professional proficiency in English reading, writing and verbal communication
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Drive holistic Hewing Bar + Lounge and Hewing Rooftop performance by developing and executing an operating plan that delivers on the Bar + Lounge's and the Rooftop's unique food and beverage concepts including high-level service and a robust cocktail menu
- Develop trusting and transparent relationships with the Director of Food + Beverage, Executive Chef, and associates by being collaborative, humble, and open-minded
- Model servant leadership and provide hands-on assistance, mentoring, coaching and training the team in food, wine and service
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of food and beverage offerings including cocktails and spirits, leading the curation of cocktail lists and educating the team
- Lead continual improvement practices by identifying root causes of service issues, collaborating with team for operational efficiencies and improved guest experience
- Act as front of house ambassador engaging in all aspects of service to exceed guest expectations and maximize seating
- Collaborate with the Director of Food + Beverage to establish goals based on performance, set KPIs and evaluate menu items with Executive Chef
- Manage inventory, budget, cost controls, labor, and other expenses with advanced financial acumen
- Work with Director of Lifestyle and Director of Sales on special events planning and execution
- Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings ensuring opening and closing procedures are properly completed
- Oversee physical condition of facilities and equipment and communicate needed improvements
- Train staff on POS system functions and ensure efficient use
- Enforce health and safety compliance with local codes, hotel policies and liquor laws
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by Director of Food + Beverage
