Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years experience in high volume bar or food service
- Prefer at least one year supervisory or lead bartender experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong leadership skills
- Basic computer literacy including experience with Windows OS, MS Office, PMS and POS
- Ability to work independently
- Must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to stand and move for up to four hours
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
- Must adhere to all company safety and security policies
- Regular and punctual attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- Three years high volume bar/food service experience
- At least one year supervisory/lead bartender experience preferred
- Micros experience preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification
- Excellent leadership capability
- Strong customer relations skills
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic computational ability
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of table and bar service
- Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine and flavor profiles
- Self-driven and able to work independently
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality, freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
- Take beverage and food orders at the bar
- Describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- Direct the craft spirit, wine, and beer programs
- Create craft cocktail and menu with emphasis on classical method of mixology
- Work with food and beverage director in lowering beverage costs by keeping accurate par levels, preventing spillage, theft-prevention and developing high margin programs
- Ensure proper service standards are met with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
- Train bartending team on service standards, product knowledge and technique
- Ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly and consistently
- Prepare house made spirit infusions
- Build vendor relationships and ensure bar carries high quality products
- Train beverage staff on proper alcohol beverage control protocols and enforce policies
- Perform cash, credit card, and room transactions as necessary
- Maintain and enforce cleanliness standards of the bar
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
- Ensure liquor, beer and wine products are secured
- Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
- Assist all guests and staff courteously with high quality customer service
- Ensure taps, coolers and appliances are clean and in working order
- Verify customer identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Prevent service to minors and intoxicated persons
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new talent
- Perform other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
